Online Training At Your Pace, On Your Schedule
The Ontario Security Guard Training Centre provides a curriculum through Trillium Learning. The training program is based on Ontario guidelines and provides a comprehensive program that prepares employees to create safe, secure environments while effectively serving employers, clients and the public.
Once you are registered, you will be given a personal password and log-in code. You may then:
• Access the online classroom anytime, 24 hours a day
• Complete online lessons
• Lessons include videos, activities and resources
• Lesson text is read to you
• Complete online tests for each lesson
• Participate in online discussions
• Get help from instructors and support specialists

After completing the course, your information will be forwarded to the Ministry requesting your personal identification number, enabling you to register and write the Final Ministry Test, delivered and written in your city or local area by Serco DES at their Driver Examination Centre.
You must have a training completion number from your training facility to book this test. Each test is $35.00 CAD plus 13% HST for a total of $39.55 CAD. The fee includes your test reservation, test administration, and test marking; it does not include the ServiceOntario licensing fee. The test is a 60-question, multiple-choice format, for which a passing grade is 62%. You are allotted 75 minutes to complete the exam.
You are now eligible to fill out your Ontario Security Guard Application, which we will have sent you prior to the test along with your course-completion package.
